How to Make Sure Your Child Has an Awesome Birthday

When you’re a child, birthdays are so much more magical.

However, once we get to a certain age, the magic wears off and we don’t want to grow old anymore.

That means you should make the most of your kid’s birthdays while they are young!

Here’s how you can make sure your child has an awesome birthday from start to finish.

How to Make Sure Your Child Has an Awesome Birthday

Read on to find out how to make your child's birthday the best one ever!

Here are 7 steps to an awesome birthday...

1. Make Sure They See Friends and Loved Ones

I don’t know about you, but I used to love seeing my friends and loved ones on my birthday.

Make sure they see them either by arranging a visit to your house or the other way around.

It’s always nice when it feels like the whole day revolves around your birthday as a child.

2. Have a Party

A birthday party is always lots of fun, so why not arrange one for your child?

Invite a few friends over to your house rather than hiring a venue to help keep costs low.

You could hire a venue if this is a special birthday and you have a larger budget.

Just make sure you leave plenty of time to let people know and plan!

3. Hire Entertainment

There are all kinds of different things you can look into, from a bounce house or bouncy castle to visiting princesses, magicians and clowns.

Just make sure it fits your budget.

If you're in the UK, The Outdoors Project runs awesome parties for kids - get £15 off with the code REFER32934.

If you don’t have a big budget for the party, you can always arrange your own entertainment.

A few party games and a decent playlist will work just as well.

Kids like to make their own fun most of the time anyway!

4. Take Them Out for the Day

Why not take your child out for the day?

You could go to a favourite or long-awaited theme park, or anywhere else they’d enjoy.

If their birthday falls on a weekday, arrange it for the weekend so they have something to look forward to.

5. Make Them Their Favourite Food

A birthday is a great excuse to eat all of your favourite food with no repercussions.

Make your child’s favourite meal on their birthday, or order them a pizza.

If they want a cake made of doughnuts instead of a regular cake, so be it!

Let them choose the menu for the whole day with all of their favourite foods for breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner and dessert.

Just don't forgte to makes some cute cupcakes in their favorite theme!

6. Do a Birthday Countdown

Whether you are having a party or going our for the day on or around their birthday, making an Advent style countdown to the big day is sure to build excitement.

Make a chart counting down to your little one’s birthday or join paper rings together to make a paper chain. Then have them rip one off each day.

You could even include little treats and small toys, so they get a small gift every day leading up to their birthday.

7. Make Everything About Them

Make it all about them on their birthday. Put up banners and balloons.

Decorate the living room or the whole house if you wish.

If they love balloons, you might even want to fill the whole living room or their bedroom with them!

Set up a scavenger hunt to find their birthday presents, turn their chair at the table into a throne with tissue paper, garlands and balloons or build their presents into a castle!

Go places they like, and see people they love. And best of all make sure you spend lots of quality time with them.

Make sure they know that this day is all about them and they’ll never forget it!

Making your child’s birthday special and magical while they're young will give them some amazing memories to look back on.

Making days like this special is one of the best things about having kids!

I hope you all enjoy this lovely day.
