Margaritas are traditionally considered a warm weather drink, but there's no reason you can't enjoy this delicious and popular cocktail all year round, especially at Christmas time! This festive version uses delicious cranberry juice to give the drink a bright splash of colour. Just add a fun, seasonal garnish to give margaritas a festive twist everyone will love.
Festive Cranberry Margaritas
Makes 1 margarita
Garnish
fresh rosemary sprigs, bottom leaves removed, approximately 2-3” long
fresh cranberries
fresh lime wedges
To make the cranberry sprig garnish, carefully thread 3 fresh cranberries onto tough rosemary stems. Set aside.
Ingredients
3 oz. tequila
2 oz. Cointreau (or other orange liqueur)
2 oz. cranberry juice
3 tbsp fresh lime juice
Method
1. Fill cocktail shaker with ice and add tequila, Cointreau, and both juices.
2. Shake well and strain into ice-filled glasses.
3. Garnish with rosemary sprigs and lime wedges, if desired. Serve immediately.
