I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that we are working with Argos and Chad Valley in the run up to Christmas. There are so many wonderful toys on the Chad Valley section of the Argos website, over 400, and the girls were very excited to see what they would be sent to review. Well, those little Chad Valley gremlins are very clever indeed, sending the girls their perfect treats: Tatiana a baby doll to cuddle and look after, Sophia a toy kitchen to chef away at, and Lara quite the most beautiful doll. Meet Tiffany:
As much as Lara still loves playing mummies and babies, she is also getting interested in dolls she can dress up, and especially hairdressing. With her SPD Lara doesn't like having her hair brushed, isn't keen on having it put up etc, and has never been to the hairdresser's, yet she still wants to do others' hair. (Yes, we have had the ubiquitous sneaking of scissors and cutting dolls' and teddies' hair at her 'hairdressers', does any little girl not do that?) Well, the scissors are firmly put away while her new friend is around, but she happily dresses her hair with bows and clips and bands. Just look at how gorgeous Tiffany's extra long, soft wavy hair is!
Part of the Design a Friend range from Chad Valley, Tiffany comes with two outfits, her stunning ball gown, and a more relaxed number. The attention to detail is amazing, with two pairs of earrings, elbow-length gloves, adorable little evening shoes and ballet pumps, and sparkly clutch bag. Lara loves dressing and undressing her dolly for the different occasions, and plays for ages with her on the fab catwalk and wardrobe.
The catwalk carry case is the perfect place for Tiffany to sleep when not being played with, and keeps her clean and beautiful, as well as being a fun wardrobe and play accessory. It is beautifully presented, and nestled in abed of tissue paper, Tiffany is a real treat and beauty of a doll. She makes a beautiful gift. As for the box itself, there is plenty of hanging and storage space on one side, and a fold-out catwalk on the other. It's amazing how much pleasure a little girl can get from arranging and rearranging a doll's wardrobe, training for future shopping trips maybe!
Here's Tiffany ready for her down time in style:
The Design a Friend collection is perfect for older girls, especially if they are interested in fashion, styling, hairdressing etc. With lots of different dolls priced from £19.99, lots of outfits and accessories from £6.99 to £14.99, amazing furniture from £24.99 up, and even a house, this is a range that could see us out for many birthdays and Christmasses to come!
Model Doll - Tiffany, complete with both outfits, wardrobe box and catwalk, retails at £49.99 and is available from Argos stores and for online ordering.
